- From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences
- Double click the "Network" icon
- Make sure "Internal Modem" is selected from the list
labeled"Configure"

- Click on the "TCP/IP" tab
- Make sure "Using PPP" is selected from the list labeled"Configure"

- Click on the "PPP" tab
- Enter "Libcom" in the "Service Provider"
field
- Enter your 10-digit Libcom access number in the "Telephone
number" field
- Enter another 10-digit Libcom access number in the "Alternate
number" field if there are more than 1 Libcom access numbers
local to you.
- Enter your Libcom e-mail address in the field labeled"Account
name"
- Enter your password in the field labeled"Password"
- Make sure that there is a check next to "Save password"

- Click on the "PPP Options" button
- Check the box next to "Connect automatically when starting
TCP/IP applications".
- Uncheck the box next to "Prompt to stay connected if idle
for 15 minutes"
- Uncheck the box next to "Disconnect if idle for 15 minutes"
- Check the box next to "Disconnect when user logs out"
- Check the box next to "Send PPP echo packets"
- Check the box next to "Use TCP header compression"
- Click on "OK"

- Click on the "Proxies" tab
- Make sure that none of the boxes are checked

- Click on the "Modem" tab
- Make sure that the correct modem is selected from the list "Modem"
- Select "Tone" if your phone uses tone dialing or "Pulse"
if your phone users pulse dialing
- Click on "Save"
- Your computer is now configured to use Libcom Internet Services.
