- Make sure that all of your other applications are closed.
- Click on "Start" then "Settings" then "Control
Panel".
- Double click "Dialup Networking"
- Double click "Make New Connection"

- Enter "Libcom" as "The name of the computer you
are dialing"
- Make sure the modem you wish to use is selected from "Select
a device"
- Click on "Next"

- Enter the area code of your Libcom Access Number in the box
labeled "Area Code:"
- Enter the phone number of your Libcom Access Number in the box
labeled "Telephone number:"
- Make sure that "Country code:" is set as "United
States of America (1)"
- Click on "Next"
- Click on "Finish"

- You should now see a new icon labeled "Libcom" in
Dial-up Networking
- Right click on the "Libcom" icon in Dial-up Networking.
- Click on "Properties"
- Verify that you both "Area code" and "Telephone
number" correspond to your Libcom Access Number.
- Make sure that there is a checkmark in "Use area code and
Dialing Properties"

- Click on the "Networking" tab at the top of the window.
- Make sure that "PPP:Internet, Windows 2000/NT, Windows
ME" is selected for "Type of Dialup-Server"
- Make sure that the only box that is checked is "TCP/IP"

- Click on the "TCP/IP Settings..." button.
- Make sure that "Server assigned IP address" is selected.
- Make sure that "Server assigned name server addresses"
is selected.
- Make sure that "Use IP header compression" and "Use
default gateway on remote network" are both checked.
- Click on OK

- Click on the "Dialing" tab
- Make sure that "This is the default Internet connection"
is checked
- Make sure that "Always dial my default connection"
is selected
- Make sure that "Enable idle disconnect" is NOT checked
- Make sure the "Disconnect when connection may not be needed"
is NOT checked
- Click on "OK"
- Restart your computer and you should be ready to use Libcom
Internet!
